Vermont Businesses Supporting Ukraine
The following businesses, at some point, are or were donating some proceeds to causes supporting Ukrainians. I encourage you to contact them or check their social media pages to see what they are currently doing…. and urge them to keep giving! (And if they listen, be sure to support them too!)
1st Republic Brewing Co (Essex)
This Saturday we’re launching our DIPA, Chasing Asteroids, with some Ukrainian colors 🇺🇦 This beer will be sold at a premium price- $20 per 4 pack, with $13 dollars of every 4 pack sold, going to the World Central Kitchen Relief fund for Ukraine. WCF Chefs have made over 1,000,000 meals for Ukrainian families during this crisis.
Beverage Warehouse (Winooski)
We support the state of Vermont’s decision to remove spirits imported directly from Russia from our shelves, and at this time we wish to take things a step further. This week (March 5), we will be donating the equivalent of 100% of our profits from the sales of all Russian-owned spirits brands since January 1, 2021, to Ukrainian humanitarian relief funds.
Blue and yellow cans from local breweries/producers will start hitting the shelves in late March, and 100% of proceeds will be donated to a mix of aid organizations.
Blackbird Bistro (Craftsbury)
Please join Blackbird as we raise funds for humanitarian aid for the innocent families of Ukraine. Launching this week (March 10) we introduce our Fuck Putin Eat Poutine Fund. For every $15 order of Poutine sold we will donate $4. Order a Fuck Putin Shot, we will donate $5.
Funds will be donated weekly to UNICEF to help provide safe water, healthcare, nutritional food and protection directly to war struck families in Ukraine.
Fuck Putin, eat Poutine, long live Ukraine.
Eden Specialty Ciders (Newport)
We are providing direct relief to Cider and Beer friends in Ukraine. We are donating $10 for every case, to be split as follows: 50% to @BeerFreak (Oleksandr Siedov) Oleksandr is in Karkhiv directly providing supplies to the Ukrainian volunteer defenders and remaining inhabitants in this historic city that has been under siege since the first days of the war. 50% to the American Cider Association Fund for Berryland Berryland Cidery. On March 16th, his cidery which is located in a town just outside of Kyiv, was bombed to smithereens by the Russians. The American cider industry is planning a day of action to raise money to help Vitalli rebuild. Our contribution will go to this direct fund-raising effort.

Although I am not Ukrainian, I am very connected to the Ukrainian diasporan community through my art, and the invasion of Ukraine is hitting hard. To help with the humanitarian efforts, I will be donating 25% of my sales through Easter to World Central Kitchen. I have started a fundraising campaign with WCK to raise $1,800 by Easter. If you would like to contribute to my campaign, I would be grateful. I am also doing my part to help Ukraine by writing pysanky daily, and by donating pysanky to various other fundraising efforts.
Stowe Cider (Stowe)
As the attack on Ukraine continues, we at Stowe Cider stand in support of and in solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
